Service Description

Discover the exciting world of fencing with the Victoria Fencing and Fitness Program in Camas, WA! Our beginners class meets every Tuesday and Thursday and is designed for children ages 7-13. Fencing is a fantastic way to introduce physical activity to your child, and is even an Olympic sport! Our classes are designed to be a fun and engaging after-school activity that kids can look forward to. Come join us and start fencing! Cost: $180 for group classes only $295 for group classes and weekly private lessons Beginner classes are offered every: Tuesday & Thursday at 5:00 - 6:00 PM (1hr) Please complete the "Intro to Fencing Course" before joining this class. This ongoing class is designed to further build up and strengthen the essential skills: moves, positions, rules, strength, coordination, discipline, and more. This class can be taken as many times as necessary until the fencer is ready to move on to the next level. This class should be combined with weekly private lessons for the best and desired results. The modern Olympic sport requires fencers to be of the fittest of athletes and have levels of skills, which require many hours of dedicated training. In learning the skills of attacking and defending with either the foil, epee or sabre fencers develop good coordination, balance and flexibility which makes fencing training an ideal means of keeping fit for all ages, sexes, and abilities. In our classes we use Foil as weapon. For the class: - Please bring personal water bottle - Must wear athletic attire (t-shirt, long pants, athletic shoes) NOTE: Please NO dresses, skirts, flip-flops, sandals, boots, heels, or jeans. - All long hair must be secured with hair tight/accessories to keep face and eyes open Registration and payment policy: - All students in this program will be enrolled in auto-pay. You may be canceled at any time when following the cancellation policy. - All payments will be scheduled to be processed on the 25th of each month. - No refunds will be issued. Cancellation policy: - You must request to cancel your auto-pay at least 10 days in advance before the next month's session. You must cancel on or before the 15th of a month to avoid being billed. Fencing equipment: New students may borrow equipment to try fencing and get an idea of what it feels like. That will allow them to try the sport before committing and spending money on equipment. After the trial period, fencers are expected to purchase their own set of equipment.

Cancellation Policy

Registration and payment policy: - Please complete the registration online. - All students in this program will be enrolled in auto-pay. You may be canceled at any time when following the cancellation policy. - All payments will be scheduled to be processed on the 25th of each month. - No refunds. Cancellation policy: - You must request to cancel your auto-pay on or before the 15th of a month to avoid being billed for the next month session. Make-up class policy: - For the intermediate or intermediate+ plans: * A fencer is expected to attend the days selected. * If you need to make up for a missed class, you will be able to make up a class if space is available on different days. Please contact the coach to schedule your makeup. - For the Unlimited plan: * There will be no make-up. Fencing equipment: All new fencers get a trial period and will be provided with fencing gear free of charge for the first two months. After the trial period, fencers have 2 options: 1) Rent equipment at $35/per month 2) Buy personal gear.
